The David Moyes era has officially begun at Manchester United. So then, what can we expect from the new boss in the summer transfer window?

United have already made their first signing this summer, bringing in Uruguayan full-back Guillermo Varela from Peñarol. But the rumor mill hasn’t stopped linking multiple players to Old Trafford.

The rumors involving Barcelona’s Thiago Alcantara have picked up in recent days. According to reports by the Spanish publication Sport cited by ESPN FC, the Spanish midfielder has demanded a cheap buyout if he signs with United.

Such a clause would allow him to leave United after one year if he doesn’t play enough matches—a problem that has plagued him at the Nou Camp.

Elsewhere, United have been linked with Dutch midfielder Kevin Strootman and Benfica center-back Ezequiel Garay. But is there anything to those rumors?

In the video clip above, B/R world football lead writer Michael Cummings calls fact or fiction on these three rumors. After watching the clip, be sure to add your thoughts in the comments.
