One thing is for sure: Former Diva Maria Kanellis has had nothing good to say about current WWE stars Nikki and Brie Bella, a.k.a. The Bella Twins.
Fresh off of claiming earlier this month that the sisters sabotaged her WWE return in April, Kanellis has accused the pair of "blocking" two other women from being hired too.
Talking to one follower on Twitter, the former Playboy cover girl wrote:
Kanellis declined to name any names. It's worth noting, though, that around the time she was negotiating a new deal, WWE was, as Diva-Dirt mentions, in talks with various former Divas, including Kelly Kelly, Maryse and Beth Phoenix. Ultimately, none of these women ended up returning.
The heat between Kanellis and the twins has been widely reported.
As WrestlingInc noted, the ROH valet frequently took nasty personal shots at the pair during her stint as the host of AfterBuzz's post-Raw talk shows.
Whether or not Kanellis is simply being bitter or Nikki and Brie truly are throwing their weight around backstage remains to be seen.
Certainly as the stars of upcoming WWE/E! reality show Total Divas, the two presumably have more clout than most of the other women in the company (the show is being marketed and built mainly around them). Nikki's high-profile relationship with WWE champion John Cena probably doesn't hurt, either.
Of course, it's worth mentioning that any girl in their positions would be vulnerable to catty remarks. Former Diva Michelle McCool has previously spoken out about how her real-life relationship with The Undertaker led to frequent and often unfair criticism during her time in WWE.
(Despite what is often claimed, McCool was one of the best women's wrestlers in the company in 2007 and 2008 and fully deserved the big push she got.)
So, what do you think? Is there something to Kanellis' claims? Or are people just too eager to slam the pair?
