MLB Suspends Alex Rodriguez 211 Games for Role in Biogenesis Scandal

After a protracted public saga, Major League Baseball has suspended Alex Rodriguez without pay for 211 games—which would be for the rest of 2013 and the entire 2014 season—due to his connection with the Biogenesis performance-enhancing drug scandal and various other violations.

With the regular season over, Rodriguez's appeal is now in progress.
