Paraguayan Soccer Player Kicks a Referee in the Face After a Red Card

Tristan ThornburghSocial Media StaffAugust 26, 2013

Being a soccer referee in some countries is among the most dangerous jobs in the world.

This particular instance of player-on-referee violence takes place in Paraguay, in the Liga Regional del Sud championship game last week between Coronel Romero and Porvenir.

During the contest a player protested a red card by jump-kicking a ref square in the face.

The player/perpetrator is Marcos Leguizamon of Porvenir.  Porvenir would lose the match 2-0.

Remember, everyone, refs are good people with tough jobs.

Hat tip to Sports Grid for the find.
