The New England Patriots have confirmed that Shane Vereen is probable to play in tonight's game vs. Carolina: 

RB Shane Vereen has been activated off IR & is probable for tonight’s game w/ a wrist injury. http://t.co/sPOPxMbYkP

Later in the day he was officially active according to Field Yates of ESPN Boston:
