With the New England Patriots' receiving corps decimated by injuries and departures, Danny Amendola was expected to be a huge part of the team's offense this season. That was the case in New England's season opener against the Buffalo Bills, but the Pats are likely to be without Amendola for an extended period of time.

Amendola suffered a groin injury during the team's Week 1 game against the Bills, according to the Patriots' official Twitter account.

Injury update: Danny Amendola left the game with a groin injury. His return is questionable.

Amendola is active for Week 5.
