Gareth Bale Injury: Updates on Real Madrid Star's Status, Likely Return Date

Gareth Bale was taken out of Real Madrid's lineup against Getafe moments before kick-off on Sunday.

Spanish paper Marca first reported the Welsh winger picked up a muscle injury while warming up. Real Madrid announced that Isco would be taking Bale's place.

Change in the lineup: Isco will play instead of Bale. #halamadrid

Bale has since struggled to find fitness, but will return to the roster for Madrid's match against Malaga on Saturday. He declared himself fit for a Sat, Oct. 26 match against Barcelona.
