Minnesota Twins Announcer Booth Has the Best Kiss-Cam Moment Ever

Oh, so you want to put the Kiss Cam on the guys in the booth? Jokes on you, camera guys. They’ll do it.

They tried their hardest, but the producers working Thursday night’s game between the Minnesota Twins and the Cleveland Indians couldn’t ruffle the sportscasters in the booth.

The stadium Kiss Cam was making its rounds about Target Field when some joker decided to focus it on Dick Bremer, the Twins play-by-play man. Completely unfazed, Bremer grabbed his colleague, former Twins pitcher Bert Blyleven, and planted a big smooch on his cheek.

The amazing moment was noticed by Kiley Kmiec of Next Impulse Sports, and @CJZero—a purveyor of fine GIFs—created this little ditty for us all to enjoy.

How many times can you watch that? Until your eyes fall out.

Bremer didn’t hesitate for a moment when he noticed the Kiss Cam on him. He went right at Blyleven, grabbing him by the shoulders and kissing him firmly on the cheek. Bremer then celebrated like a Viking conqueror.

It all happened quickly, and Blyleven’s reaction shifted from “What in God’s name?” to “LOL” in a matter of seconds.

With this one unexpected smooch, the world became a better place for a moment. Too many times the Kiss Cam tries to create magic and fails, usually because its targets are too stodgy and lame to lighten up for a single second.

Perhaps it’s a dumb thing in the first place, but the Kiss Cam is a part of the modern sports experience, and you might as well embrace it. There’s nothing worse than a couple freezing up like deer in the headlights when they see themselves on the Jumbotron.

With that said, this is pure Kiss-Cam gold. Thank you, gentlemen—for being man enough to handle the task.
