Charlotte Bobcats starting center Al Jefferson left his team's preseason game on Friday, Oct. 11 with the Miami Heat after suffering an ankle injury in the third quarter, the team confirmed.

Updates from Friday, Nov 22:

Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer reports that Jefferson is ready for action:

Al Jefferson will play -- and start vs. Suns tonight, assuming he continues to feel as good as he was at shootaround

#bobcats coach Steve Clifford said no minutes restrictions on Jefferson. Rather he'll gauge how much Al can handle. He's missed last 4.
