UCLA bolstered its 2014 recruiting class Sunday, gaining a commitment from 4-star wide receiver Alex Van Dyke, according to 247Sports' Sean Ceglinsky. The versatile 6'4", 205-pound playmaker brings plenty of talent to the Bruins.

Van Dyke, a star at Cosumnes Oaks in Elk Grove, Calif., selected UCLA from a long list of offers. His list included Oregon, Duke, California and Northwestern.

The Bruins' incoming class now boasts 10 commits, including four 4-star prospects. Van Dyke is listed as the nation's No. 43 wide receiver recruit in 247Sports' composite rankings.

He is physically formidable, providing a massive target in the Bruins' passing game. Van Dyke moves extremely well for his size, clocking a 4.5 in the 40-yard dash, per 247Sports.

After spending time on the UCLA campus last weekend, Van Dyke decided to pull the trigger and become the latest Bruins commit. He joins a significant stable of 2014 receivers headed to Los Angeles.

Coach Jim Mora and his staff have already landed commitments from pass-catchers Austin Roberts  (Carmel, Ind.), Barry Ware (Corona, Calif.), Dionte Sykes (Gilbert, Ariz.) and Jordan Lasley (Gardena, Calif.).

It's a massive haul for UCLA, especially with Van Dyke now thrown into the mix. The Bruins continue to make inroads on the recruiting trail under Mora's regime.

It seemed a forgone conclusion that Van Dyke would wind up in the Pac-12. Oregon State, Utah, Oregon, California and Washington State were among the schools in pursuit.

Instead of welcoming him on campus, those programs must now contend with Van Dyke for several years. He's an explosive addition to a burgeoning Bruins offensive attack.
