In today's NFL, the fastest-rising breed of player is the dual-threat quarterback who can thrive both as a pocket passer and as a read-option runner. One of the players at the forefront of that positional revolution is Seattle Seahawks field general Russell Wilson.

After Week 7, Wilson's fantasy football stock is looking as strong as ever.

Against the Arizona Cardinals, Wilson has been methodical, going 18-of-29 for 235 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions. He also carried the ball eight times for 29 yards, linking up with nine separate receivers on passes and overcoming two fumbles to lead Seattle's offense.

All in all, Wilson did what he does best: progress.

Every time out, Wilson seems to be doing something special.

Wilson entered this game with 1,254 passing yards, eight touchdowns, four interceptions and 294 rushing yards. He hadn't been the most reliable fantasy football option, but on a Seahawks team that is seeing its offense come to life, his value is rising.

Entering Week 7, Wilson had rushed for at least 60 yards in three straight games. That alone offers reason to start him, with his upside as a passer only making his production all but certain to impress.

If you aren't already, start Wilson. He and the Seahawks enter a stretch in which they face fantasy football gold mines in the St. Louis Rams, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Atlanta Falcons and Minnesota Vikings.
