When a major brawl broke out between players of the Färjestad Bollklubb and the Växjö Lakers in the Swedish Hockey League, referee Sören Persson went rogue to regain control.

Fast forward to the 50-second mark to see Persson nearly choke a player out.

Hat tip to Yahoo! Sports for the find.
