The Atlanta Falcons picked up a much-needed win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a 31-23 victory on Sunday in the Georgia Dome.

The Buccaneers fell to 0-6, calling into question the future of Greg Schiano as the head coach of the team. They committed 11 penalties on the day, which contributed to a defeat despite gaining more total yards and possessing the ball longer than the Falcons.

For Atlanta, the story of the game was the performance of Matt Ryan, who proved he's capable of moving the football without Roddy White or Julio Jones, who both missed the game due to injury.

Ryan finished with a very efficient line of statistics, throwing for three touchdowns and no interceptions without his two favorite targets.

Check out the updates below for thoughts on the game as it unfolded.
