New York Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist had already missed two straight practices with an undisclosed injury. Now, it appears he will miss game time as well, according to head coach Alain Vigneault.

From Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News:

[Lundqvist] is not playing tomorrow. Cam’s going tomorrow. I’ve already told him today at practice. [Lundqvist] is not going to be the backup either. If this would have been a playoff game, he’d probably be playing.

It’s something that’s day-to-day that we think we can nip it in the bud. It might take one more day, maybe two, but it’s something he should be able to turn the page on and you won’t hear about it anymore.

Vigneault added that while the injury wasn't anything serious, Lundqvist aggravated it against New Jersey and the team is taking precaution to avoid any further setbacks.

Lundqvist has since said he's ready to play Monday, Oct. 28, vs. Montreal and the Rangers confirmed.
