Final Grades for Alabama Crimson Tide

Pass Offense: A.J. McCarron dominated the entire game, throwing the ball all over the field to seven different receivers. He completed 19 passes for 275 yards and two touchdowns. Kevin Norwood led the receivers with six catches for 112 yards and a touchdown.

Rush Offense: The Tide had their way running the ball all game, rushing for 204 yards on 37 carries. Kenyan Drake finished with 14 carries for 89 yards, while T.J. Yeldon had 72 yards on 15 rushes with three touchdowns.

Pass Defense: Tennessee quarterbacks had 195 yards through the air, as Justin Worley went out of the game with a thumb injury after throwing two interceptions. His replacement, Joshua Dobbs, completed five passes for 75 yards.

Rush Defense: Tennessee had more success in the second half running the ball and finished the game with 127 yards. However, more than one-third of that came on Rajion Neal's 43-yard run to open the second half.

Special Teams: Christion Jones averaged 53 yards on two punt returns, and the kickers made all their extra-point attempts, with Adam Griffith also making a 20-yard field goal.

Coaching: There was no doubt about this one after the first half. The coaching staff had the Tide prepared, and it showed on the field.

1st-Half Grades for Alabama Crimson Tide

Pass Offense: What more can you say about A.J. McCarron? He completed 13 of 17 passes for 180 yards and two touchdowns. Kevin Norwood had four catches for 69 yards, while Amari Cooper had four receptions for 67 yards.

Rush Offense: The Crimson Tide had 112 yards on the ground on 20 carries, including 51 yards from Kenyan Drake and 40 yards from T.J. Yeldon. However, Drake did have a fumble near the goal line.

Pass Defense: Alabama held Justin Worley to 120 yards passing and intercepted him twice. However, 65 of those yards came on the same drive prior to Worley's second interception, which was returned 88 yards by Landon Collins for a touchdown.

Rush Defense: Tennessee got nothing on the ground, getting only 23 yards on 10 carries. Nothing is available against Alabama's front seven, forcing the Volunteers to pass the ball more than they would like to.

Special Teams: Cade Foster made all five of his extra points, and Christion Jones had a 49-yard kick return to open the game.

Coaching: Alabama coaches have had their players ready in every game this season, and today is no different, as the Tide have controlled the game throughout.
