Brandon Gibson Injury: Updates on Dolphins WR's Knee, Likely Return Date

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Brandon Gibson had developed into a reliable red-zone target for quarterback Ryan Tannehill in recent weeks, but the Dolphins had to finish the team's Week 8 game against the New England Patriots without him.

According to Albert Breer of NFL.com, the knee injury Gibson suffered in the first half against New England is believed to be a torn patellar tendon:

Per source, the initial diagnosis for Dolphins WR Brandon Gibson is that his knee injury is likely season-ending.

Gibson reportedly will undergo surgery on Monday, Oct. 28 and had been placed on IR.
