Tim Duncan Injury: Updates on Spurs Star's Chest, Likely Return Date

This isn't the way the Spurs wanted to start out the season. Tim Duncan was forced to leave San Antonio's season opener with the Memphis Grizzlies after suffering a chest injury.

According to the team, Duncan had a chest contusion and wouldn't be able to return.

Injury update: Tim Duncan suffered a chest contusion and will not return to tonight's game.

He has been ruled out of Friday's game against the Lakers.
