This isn't something you read every day.

Zach Randolph left his Memphis Grizzlies to fend for themselves against the New Orleans Pelicans, but something tells me they'll understand. According to the Memphis Commercial Appeal's Ronald Tillery, "ZBo has left the building. His fiancé, Faune, just went into labor."

ESPN 92.9 in Memphis actually posted a picture of the physical player report on Twitter.

And in case you were wondering, it looks like Randolph made it in time. From CBS' Gary Parrish:

I, for one, am happy for the Grizzlies' big man, and I'll go ahead and take this opportunity to congratulate him. Not only on the birth of "Little Z-Bo" (as Parrish dubbed the newborn), but also on having his priorities straight.

Congratulations big man! I'm happy for you, but some of your fantasy owners are certainly not.

I'm just going to go ahead and assume all anti-Randolph tweets are given in good fun like Alec's. If not, I'm sure the birth of his child will outweigh any hurt feelings for Z-Bo.
