Kyle NewportFeatured ColumnistNovember 21, 2013

Letters from Tiger Woods' early years have surfaced, so check out what was said to him before he became the star that he is today.

Jay Yarow of Business Insider was able to take a picture of a recruiting letter that Stanford coach Wally Goodwin sent to Woods back in 1989:

Then-Augusta National Chairman Jack Stephens sent Woods a letter following his performance at the 1995 Masters, via Kyle Porter of CBS Sports:

Both letters are on display at the Tiger Woods Center at the Nike World Headquarter in Oregon.

Hat tip to Sportress of Blogitude for the find.
