Swindon Town Fan Invades Pitch, Assaults Leyton Orient Goalkeeper

A Swindon Town supporter invaded the pitch and attacked Leyton Orient goalkeeper Jamie Jones during Saturday's Sky Bet League One match.

The Swindon Advertiser has released video footage of the incident, which shows Jones simply trying to protect himself from the fan:

Dave Wood from the Daily Mail has an update on Saturday's incident:

The FA will speak to officials from both Swindon and Orient before deciding on whether to take any action.

An FA spokesman said: "We deplore scenes of this kind and would call for the authorities to take the appropriate actions if allegations of assault are proven.

"We will be speaking to both clubs involved to determine the facts surrounding the incident."

The spokesman also confirmed the FA would push for a banning order from all grounds.
