The Carolina Panthers have won eight straight games after defeating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers by a final score of 27-6 on Sunday in Charlotte, N.C.

The Buccaneers took an early lead on a Rian Lindell field goal, but the Panthers regained the lead with a Brandon LaFell touchdown catch in the first quarter and never looked back.

Cam Newton threw for two touchdowns and ran for one more as his offense scored more than enough points for the stout Carolina defense, which held the Buccaneers to just 206 total yards and six points.

The Buccaneers fall to 3-9 on the season, while the Panthers move to 9-3 and remain in contention for the NFC South title.
