Oregon added a key piece to its 2014 recruiting class Tuesday, securing a commitment from top-ranked junior college offensive guard Haniteli Lousi. The 4-star prospect announced his commitment less than two weeks after spending an official visit in Eugene, per 247Sports writer Justin Hopkins.

Lousi currently attends the College of San Mateo (Calif.). The 6'5", 295-pound prospect is rated the nation's No. 1 JUCO guard and 19th overall JUCO prospect in 247Sports' composite rankings.

He holds offers from several programs, including Colorado, Kansas, Arizona State and Hawaii. Lousi bolsters the Ducks' latest haul of offensive linemen.

Oregon already collected commitments from 3-star tackles Tyrell Crosby (Henderson, Nev.) and Braden Eggert (Napa, Calif.). He is the first interior lineman in a 15-player class that is currently ranked 22nd nationally by 247Sports.

The Ducks will likely looked to add another guard before national signing day. Oregon is in pursuit of several prospects at the position, including 3-star recruits Chris Brown (Los Angeles, Calif.) and Nick Gates (Las Vegas, Nevada).

After committing, Lousi quickly turned his attention toward luring more talented prospects to Oregon, including 4-star JUCO wide receiver Eric Lauderdale.

Prior to taking the prep route to an FBS football career, Lousi played for Washington High School in Fremont, Calif. He has two years of collegiate eligibility left.
