    Chelsea were the Premier League's biggest spenders in the January transfer window, with an outlay of £48 million, according to Sky Sports. Despite this, the sales of Juan Mata and Kevin De Bruyne have left them with a healthy £10 million profit to reinvest in the summer.

    Key areas of the squad were addressed with the arrivals of Nemanja Matic and Kurt Zouma, but there is still one position that needs some attention.

    According to The Sun (h/t The Mirror) Jose Mourinho has shortlisted three strikers to sign this summer: Mario Mandzukic, Edinson Cavani and Diego Costa.

Frank Lampard Set to Sign 1-Year Contract Extension

    Steve Stammers at The Mirror has reported that Frank Lampard is the only veteran who will be offered a new contract at Chelsea in the summer.

    According to sources, Lampard will take a one-year extension to his current deal while he works on his coaching badges. 

    Ashley Cole is likely to be released at the end of the season, while John Terry is apparently pushing for a two-year extension—against the Blues' current policy.
