Lynch: Colin Kaepernick Wants New Contract Now, 49ers Not Sure He's Franchise QB

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick is not a free agent until 2015, but he wants to get a long-term deal done this offseason. Kaepernick has expressed his willingness to take a team-friendly deal to save money and help the 49ers re-sign some of his teammates.

How much of a discount is he really willing to take?  Are the 49ers ready to commit to Kaepernick long-term?
