Commercial Appeal reporter Ronald Tillery has an update on Gasol's MRI:

This is about as close as it gets to a doomsday scenario for the Memphis Grizzlies. Marc Gasol left Wednesday night's game against the Orlando Magic after he tweaked the same left knee that forced him to miss a ton of time earlier in the year, per Ronald Tillery of the Commercial Appeal:

The good news is that Gasol didn't appear to be in serious pain. He was gesturing to the coaches and trainers that he wanted back in, but they refused to let him do so, per Grizzlies sideline reporter Rob Fischer:

After the game Tillery added:

There's no question as to Gasol's importance to Memphis. The team did well enough hanging around the playoff picture in the Western Conference in his absence, but there's no way it could handle another lengthy injury.

The Grizzlies had won eight of their past 11 coming into Wednesday, climbing to within two games of the eighth spot.

In order to get back into the postseason, they'll need Gasol healthy going forward.
