The birth of a child is one of those once-in-a-lifetime events when everything stops—it's all about you, your loved one and the arrival of a new person into the world.

Unless you're Wigan Athletic's James McArthur, in which case it's all those things, but also a chance to use hospital television to catch the Champions League game between Arsenal and Bayern Munich:

His other half looks suitably unimpressed.
