Roberto Soldado

1 of 5

Atletico Madrid are targeting Tottenham Hotspur centre-forward Roberto Soldado in the summer transfer window, per talkSPORT.

Soldado has been disappointing this season.

He has been lagging behind play and his shooting is off hence why he has only scored five goals from 50 shots in the Premier League.

Kyle Naughton

Tottenham Hotspur full-back Kyle Naughton wants to leave the club.

"If I can't hold down a first-team spot then I do have to look elsewhere," Naughton said, per Neil McLeman at the Mirror. "I am not going to lie—I am a right-back."

The latter quote seems to be an inference of his hesitancy at being the fill-in left-back.

If Naughton does not want to stay, let him leave.

Louis van Gaal

Netherlands national team manager Louis van Gaal essentially issued a come-and-get-me request to Tottenham Hotspur management once the FIFA World Cup is over.

"I have said before that a challenge should be a club in the Premier League," Van Gaal said, per Dominic Fifield at the Guardian. "Maybe Tottenham are coming."

Van Gaal is a UEFA Champions League-winning manager, who has won titles in the Bundesliga, Eredivisie and La Liga.

He would be a significant upgrade over current Spurs manager Tim Sherwood, who is in his first managerial tenure.

Erik Lamela

4 of 5

Inter Milan are preparing a summer transfer bid for Erik Lamela, hoping Tottenham Hotspur cut their losses with the Argentine international, according to Gazzetta dello Sport (h/t Ben Burrows at the Mirror).

Lamela is a world-class player, but he has struggled with the pace of the Premier League and has had injury problems.

Don't forget that Gareth Bale went from scapegoat to the club's most valuable player, so Lamela can turn it around when he is fully fit and playing for a manager who trusts him.

Patrick Bamford

5 of 5

Tottenham Hotspur are targeting Chelsea prospect Patrick Bamford, per Jamie Sanderson at the Metro.

Bamford, a 20-year-old English youth international, scored 14 league goals on loan at MK Dons in League One.

He then was loaned to Derby County in the Championship and has scored five goals in his last seven league games.
