The jury is still out on Tata Martino. Though Barcelona defeated Real Madrid in the latest installment of El Clasico, no one is quite sure where he will be next season.

In any case, it appears the Catalan club have a top prospect in line to replace the Argentine if needs be.

According to Marca, citing a report in the Daily MailEverton boss Roberto Martinez appears to be on Barcelona's radar.

In truth, there is no way to be sure if Martino will leave Barcelona or not. Once the season is finished, the manager will likely be judged on what he did and did not achieve.

There is still a lot of work to do before June.

Martinez does seem to be a good candidate to replace Martino if needed. The Spanish manager is doing a fantastic job with Everton and has proven that he can get the best out of his players.

If you believe the latest statements of Barcelona President Josep Maria Bartomeu, the club will be making a big push this summer to bring in new talent.

According to a recent report from Marca.com, Bartomeu stated that the club is ready to spend big. He had the following to say about the upcoming transfer window.

"Right now I don't know how many players we'll sign. There will definitely be two coming in and we'll see what happens after that. If they [the coaching staff] ask us to, we could spend €120 million on signings and delay payment of our syndicated loans for a year"

Barcelona has needed to make big moves for a few years now and it appears as though they finally could do what is needed. However, until players do come in, fans will be taking Bartomeu's statements with a pinch of salt.

The 17-year-old left-footed star will join Barcelona B this summer and will quickly start trying to work his way into the first team. Halilovic has been talked about for several years now and it is clear that Barcelona has won a major race for a starlet.

When asked how he feels about joining Barcelona, Halilovic had the following to say for The Daily Mail.

"Of course, Barcelona is something special, I have loved the club since I was a kid and I am honored to have the opportunity to play for Barca."

Barcelona are expected to make several big moves this summer, and new rumors suggest that bringing in Ilkay Gundogan may very well be one of those giant steps forward.

According to The Express, Barcelona sent their club doctor to the Borussia Dortmund facilities to check in on Gundogan who has been out of action since August with a back injury.

The 23-year-old has been on several club's radar since impressing in last year's Champions League. If the Blaugrana doctor was sent to Germany, you would have to figure that the Catalans may be the most interested club at this point.

Until something is confirmed, it is all speculation. However, Barcelona could certainly use a talent like Gundogan in their current squad.
