Mario Balotelli scored a stunning free-kick goal last night for AC Milan, as he's known to do from time to time.

But did he have an assist from the "opposition?" While his effort easily cleared the Fiorentina wall while curving back into goal, one of his former team-mates may have done his best to do Balotelli a favour.

Alessandro Matri, the on-loan Milan player who made up part of Fiorentina's wall, was seen running adrift of the right side of Fiorentina's wall, right as Balotelli took his kick.

Matri made a high-profile move from Juventus to Milan, but failed to make a huge impact at the San Siro so he was loaned out to Fiorentina. Perhaps this was his strange way of making an impact.
