Video: Oleh Husev Helped by Opposing Player After Vicious Collision

A scary moment in the Ukrainian Premier League could have been exponentially more scary if not for the swift action of an opposing player on the pitch. 

Dynamo Kiev's captain Oleh Husev took an accidental knee to the face by Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk's goalkeeper Denis Boyko while chasing the ball. Husey appeared to be knocked out and had apparently swallowed his tongue as a result of the collision. 

Dnipro's Jaba Kankava immediately rushes toward Husev and works to clear Husev's airway. Other players, also realising the severity of the incident, race over to aid Husev as well. 

He eventually regained consciousness and was taken to the hospital. 

A similar incident happened to John Terry in 2007 and a 19-year-old tragically lost his life after swallowing his tongue. 

Good on the Kankaya for his quick-thinking.
