Drake received a lot of heat when a photo began circulating the Internet that appeared to show the rapper in a UConn shirt following the NCAA National Championship, earning claims that he was the ultimate front-runner.

On ESPN's NBA Countdown, Drake asserted that this was not the case. Not only was the photo taken before the game, Drake clarifies that the logo on it is not UConn's "U," but rather the logo of Kentucky freshman James Young.

The photo of Drake and Richard Hamilton, which was taken a few hours before tipoff, can be found on Hamilton's Instagram. In it, Hamilton includes the caption: "Wit my family World Wide Wes and @champagnepapi at NCAA Championship Game. They Cheering for the otherside so off wit their Hea #holdat #Uconn."
