Blue Jays Pitcher Todd Redmond Shows off New MLB Protective Hats

With recent head injuries to players like Alex Cobb and Aroldis Chapman, the MLB has decided to create protective caps for pitchers.

Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Todd Redmond showed off the new caps, and while they do look a bit goofy, it's quite obvious that they offer more padding than the regular hats.

The biggest question now is whether or not pitchers will wear such a strange-looking hat, even if it will protect them from line drives hit back to the mound.
