Surely, it's an awkward situation in Liverpool as Everton play host to title-hopefuls Manchester City on Saturday.

Liverpool need Manchester City to drop points in their last three matches, and their best hope is that their Merseyside neighbours can get some sort of result against the prolific Citizens.

Ross Barkley opened the scoring for Everton, and there were some bold promises if Everton manage to win:

I will buy an everton Jersey if they win tonight...I'll never wear it but I'll look at it and be like "I don't hate them that much anymore"

If Everton win this, I'm going to eat nothing but Everton toffee tomorrow.

'

If Everton win today and LFC win the league, I'll get an Everton tattoo. Roberto's Blue Army.

Others were far more bold in their proclamations. Proceed with caution—they're NSFW. One man offered up his misses and one man pledged some unsanitary things toward Roberto Martinez
