Coming into Thursday night, the former MVP was hitting .294 with seven home runs and 19 runs batted in. He's been one of the biggest reasons for the Brewers' hot start.
In order to maintain its 2.5-game lead on the St. Louis Cardinals in the National League Central, Milwaukee will need Braun back on the field.
