Liverpool have completed their first signing of the summer, but it appears as though it certainly won't be the last.

The forward is likely to be joined by more new faces this summer, but just who will be arriving at Anfield?

Here we keep track of all of this week's rumours.

The 23-year-old enjoyed an impressive campaign at Sunderland last season as he helped the Black Cats avoid relegation, and agent Marco De Marchi told the Daily Mirror:

After his holidays, he will go back to Liverpool to prepare for the new season wearing the shirt of this historic club. He wants to compete with everyone and be an extra resource for the coach and the team.

Borini could be of use to any team, but no one has contacted us and his desire is to show what he has got at Liverpool.

    Clive Rose/Getty Images

New Liverpool forward Rickie Lambert didn't attempt to hide his joy at completing a move back to his boyhood club on Monday.

    The 32-year-old forward told LiverpoolFC.com:

I can't believe it. I've loved this club all my life. I left here 17 years ago—and I haven't stopped loving it since. To be back here now having just signed at the age of 32 is hard to describe.

Obviously I have always dreamt of playing for Liverpool, but I did kind of think the chance of playing for them had gone. I didn't think the chance would come. It was a shock when I heard Liverpool were in for me.

A statement on the club's official website read:
Southampton Football Club can confirm that we have received multiple offers for some of our players in the past weeks. This is a confirmation of the depth of the development that is ongoing in our academy and of the present standing of our first team within the Premier League.
We are staying true to our plan and vision and, as a result, we have no need to accept any offers.

It remains our preference not to partake in any transfers until the new manager is in place.
