Spectator Invades Leicester Racecourse, Races Horses

A serious incident was narrowly averted at Leicester Racecourse on Saturday after a spectator ran onto the track.

The man jumped over the fence and onto the course during the penultimate race of the day, the Cream Gorse Handicap.

As reported by the Irish Mirror, the 10-strong field managed to avoid the intruder in the final furlong.

The 8:45pm race was won by Illustrious Prince, a description few would give to the man who came onto the course.
