Ten of the nation’s most talented recruits competed in the SPARQ Rating National Championship Tuesday night.

Kirk Merritt, the 4-star all-purpose back from Destrehan, Louisiana, came out on top.

Merritt entered the competition as the leader, registering the best cumulative score from the preliminary drills early Tuesday morning. His overall athleticism was on full display during the vertical jump, agility shuffle and power ball throw, and his impressive 40-yard dash clinched the championship over 5-star defensive end Josh Sweat.

We watched the competition and provided live analysis throughout.
