The Reds travel to Copenhagen to face Brondby on Wednesday before heading back to the north west to play Preston North End on Saturday.

Brendan Rodgers has the money from the sale of Luis Suarez available, with one report this weekend in The Mirror claiming the boss has £135 million to spend.

Here are the latest transfer news and reports for Liverpool, updated through the week.

A rather speculative article in The Mirror claims Paul Pogba, Arturo Vidal and Marco Reus are on Liverpool's radar as they look to make a statement in the transfer window.

There isn't much substance to David Maddock's report, which claims Rodgers "will also target a genuine big hitter in midfield, with even Germany’s Marco Reus on his wish list."

James Pearce writes in Friday's Liverpool Echo that both Liverpool defensive targets, Swansea's Ben Davies and Southampton's Dejan Lovren are keen on moves to Anfield.

On Lovren, Pearce writes “The Reds’ recent offer of around £20million for Lovren was rejected but the Croatia international remains desperate to make the move to Anfield.”

While Swansea left-back Davies is “also understood to favour joining Liverpool ahead of Tottenham, who are rivals for his signature.”

French forward Loic Remy is wanted at Liverpool, according to all the newspapers on Friday.

"Queens Park Rangers forward Loic Remy is a serious option to come in and work alongside Lambert and Daniel Sturridge," writes Dominic King in The Daily Mail.

Remy is reported to have a £8 million release clause, and would bring with him Champions League experience that The Reds miss, having made 16 appearances, scoring four goals, for Marseille in the competition.

Liverpool will sell winger Ousamma Assaidi to Stoke City on permanent deal this week, according to The Telegraph's John Percy.

Percy writes that the Moroccan's fee will be an initial £4.5 million, possibly rising to £7 million—in either instance that's a healthy profit on the £2.4 million The Reds paid for the winger two years ago.

Assaidi wasn't in the squad which played the first pre-season friendly at Brondby on Wednesday night.

Not a rumour, but manager Brendan Rodgers has signalled his intentions to add goals to his side.

Speaking to the club's official website after the friendly against Brondby, Rodgers said “It’s looking at the players that can come in and add the goals and add to our game."

“We want to improve and continually improve. We’re working very hard behind the scenes, as we always do, in terms of getting the best quality players into the club."

Swansea have turned down a £8 million bid for left-back Ben Davies, according to numerous reports on Wednesday.

The Telegraph's Chris Bascombe explains that Swansea rejected the bid and negotiations could be tricky due to Liverpool's pursuit of Wilfried Bony.

Simon Jones of The Daily Mail claims Swansea want £12 million for the 21-year-old.

    Scott Heppell/Associated Press

The latest report surrounding Ivorian forward Wilfried Bony suggests that Swansea will demand more than the reported £19 million release clause for the player, according to The Mirror.

Alan Nixon writes that "hard-bargaining [Swansea chairman Huw] Jenkins is fuming that Bony's advisers have been working on the transfer—and is in no mood to give in."

The Express had suggested that Liverpool were close to sealing a £20 million move for Bony, who scored 27 goals for club and country last season.

Several newspapers, such as The Daily Mail, link Liverpool defender Andre Wisdom with a season-long loan move to West Bromwich Albion.
