Romelu Lukaku's transfer to Everton for £28 million was confirmed on Wednesday, per BBC Sport.

The Belgian had tweeted a selfie earlier in the day (refer to slide 3) that sent social media into overdrive as to whether he was leaving the Blues or not.

It was all confirmed later in the evening, with Chelsea making a considerable profit on a player they signed for £18 million in 2011.

Ryan Bertrand has joined Southampton on a season-long loan.

The news was confirmed on the Saints' website on Wednesday, with the club also tweeting an image of Bertrand in club colors (below).

The left-back has struggled to establish himself at Stamford Bridge since coming through the ranks.

He featured in the 2012 Champions League final, becoming the first player to make his debut in the competition in the final.

With competition against Ashley Cole, he was never given a full run in the team and spent the second part of last season on loan at Aston Villa.

Now Didier Drogba is back and Chelsea have also signed Diego Costa, are they preparing to offload Fernando Torres?

If Atletico Madrid have their way, it could the case.

Spanish newspaper AS (via Goal.com) reports Atleti are hoping to bring Torres back to the Vicente Calderon Stadium this summer in a cut-price deal.

Torres is rumored to not feature in Jose Mourinho's plans, but were a move to happen, the striker would need to accept a pay cut.

Romelu Lukaku to Make Everton Move Permanent?

    Jon Super/Associated Press

Having spent last season on loan at Everton, the club are now claiming they have a deal agreed to make the transfer of Romelu Lukaku permanent.

Speaking to talkSPORT (via Chris Davie of Goal.com), Everton's head of recruitment, Ian Atkins, explained:

Romelu had a terrific season for Everton last year and I know everyone at the football club wants to see him back.

Hopefully things can be sorted out, I think he’s quite settled in his mind that he wants to come to Everton, and hopefully he’ll be pulling on our blue shirt again next term.

Our loan signings all did brilliantly for us last season. Gareth Barry has signed permanently now which is fantastic, and hopefully Lukaku will as well.

I know the manager would like him back at Everton and I’m sure if he comes he’ll be a great asset and can help us get to that next level of European football.

Per Goal.com's report, Lukaku is expected to return to Goodison Park on a permanent deal for £20 million.

Squawka is also running the story.

Could Patrick Bamford Be Joining Middlesbrough on Loan?

Patrick Bamford has impressed during pre-season for Chelsea but not enough to earn a place in the first team it seems.

The Northern Echo's Paul Fraser is reporting the young striker will join Middlesbrough on loan, where defender Kenneth Omeruo has returned after spending last year at the Riverside.

Boro's manager is Aitor Karanka, a man Mourinho knows well, having worked with him at Real Madrid, so he will be able to keep a close eye on Bamford's progress, should the move happen.

West Bromwich Albion Want Victor Moses

It's been a difficult two years for Victor Moses since joining Chelsea from Wigan Athletic.

The Nigerian struggled for first-team action in his debut campaign before enduring an uninspiring loan spell at Liverpool last year.

His nightmare could be about to end, though, with Soriebah Kajue of The Mirror reporting West Bromwich Albion are interested in his services.

The Baggies are apparently interested in a loan deal, which could suit Chelsea as they look to trim their squad ahead of the season.

Samuel Eto'o Offered to West Ham United

Samuel Eto'o left Chelsea when his contract expired this summer and has been on the lookout for a new club since.

Simon Jones of the Daily Mail reports the Cameroon frontman has been offered to West Ham United, who are believed to be in the market for a new striker after Andy Carroll suffered another long-term injury.

Eto'o is reportedly chasing a £100,000-per-week contract, though, which would be a major stumbling block for the Hammers.
