I love Bleacher Report. I think it is a great place to get a layman's or “expert” opinion on any number of pressing issues surrounding the great game of hockey.

That said, one thing troubles me- there are a number of writers on this site that "think" they are experts, when, in fact, they are nothing more than an uneducated "know it-all".

Hey, I'll be the first to point out that I have not written a darn thing on BR, at least until now. But that's not the point, is it? The point is, if you choose to post on this site you should A) Be able to back up your opinion intelligently B) Be able to spell a players name correctly C) Be able to take a little ribbing D) You should check your facts and last but not least, you should know something about the game you are writing about!!!

For those of you that are already doing all of this, your readers thank you! For those of you that continually pound out uneducated, poorly researched articles, step off!

Recently it came to my attention that there were a few writers (We all know who they are) on this site that essentially re-word other people's work and try to pass it off as their own, not cool.

Whether it be the use of another columnist’s title, the stealing of another writers opinion or the blatant theft of a writers work, it's all the same, plagiarism, in any form, is disgusting! If TSN title’s an article- “Who took the “Sun” out of Sundin? Mats Sundins' future, not looking so bright…” You should not be calling your article- “Who took the “Sun” out of Sundin? Mats Sundins' future, not looking so bright…” Am I right?

Am I being a little hard on the Beaver? Gee, Wally... probably, But I have always called a spade a "spade" and I am not going to stop just because some uneducated moron takes issue with my, or any other readers, criticism. Know your stuff, research your stats, check the spelling of players’ names, get it right the first time, don't leave it all to chance.

The point needs to be made that, for the most part, BR readers are well versed in their sports, they will catch every glitch, every error and it pisses them off when someone messes up....again, know your "Stuff".

Ok, nobody is perfect, I get that. Hell, I will probably make an error or two in this article, but when it happens every time the writer posts something, it's just plain unprofessional and it exposes you for what you are, a wanna-be!

I think the majority of the writers on BR do great job. Opinions are often questioned, tempers may flare in the heat of debate, but at least it is their OWN WORK.

So, to all you marginal writers, step it up or step off! You bring down an otherwise great site and it's embarrassing to all the other great writers who put in the appropriate time and effort to ensure they are posting great material, not the kind of stuff that my dog wouldn't use to wipe his behind!

There you have it, you asked for it (you know who you are), my first article. Guess we'll have to call it more of a Rant, but I can live with that. At least it's my own work, which is more than some of you pretenders can manage...
