Yesterday I wrote about the defensive end Penn State landed, and said that the focus now needs to turn to offense.
Well, late yesterday evening, Penn State landed its 11th recruit, wide receiver Brandon Felder from Oxon Hill, Maryland. Yes, another recruit from Maryland by Larry Johnson Sr.
I'm going to have to check on that Terp's message board and see how they feel about us raiding their area!
Here is some info on Brandon Felder. He was not a top ranked recruit, but his size and speed should be a great addition for the future of our Wide Receiving core.

Some of the top schools that were recruiting Felder were West Virginia, Illinois and Boston College, along with some other lower level schools.

As mentioned before, this class of 2009 is turning into something special for Penn State.
Here are some quotes by Felder. Parts in bold are what I find interesting and makes me more confident in Joe and his staff right now given all the uncertainty about the future.
"I committed to Penn State about 20 minutes ago," Oxon Hill, Md. wide receiver Brandon Felder said. "I talked to Coach Johnson, McQueary and Joe Paterno. They were excited and glad to have me on the team. They can't wait to work with me.
"I got to talk to all three of the coaches. Coach Paterno was a real cool and funny dude. He told me he was going to be around forever. I didn't have to worry about him leaving. He also mentioned he's excited to have me on his team as well."
"I've always wanted to go to Penn State," he said. "I wanted to be part of the Penn State tradition. I like how stable the staff is and I like the campus. The indoor facilities are really nice and the coaches are personable and sincere."
"The coaches told me I might have a chance my freshman year since all of their starters are seniors this season," he said. "That is huge to start as a freshman at a big school and be able to play in one of the best conferences in the nation. I'm excited about that."
