The next time you watch or attend a Boston College Eagles football game, watch #44 Jamie Silva.
The East Providence native is by far the most enthusiastic player on the team. When he is not picking off passes or delivering big hits he is pumping up his teammates or the crowd.
On Saturday, Jamie played very well. He recorded 3 INTs, one for a touchdown and was Bowling Green's third leading receiver to boot. Once Boston College finishes the "Alma Mater", the players run back through the tunnel into their locker room and greet the fans. Always after a BC win Jamie runs to all the fans and gives out wristbands, his skull cap etc. Today the student section was cheering his name so he went nuts; giving everyone high fives and showing even a gutsy defensive performance like that does not go to his head.

What really impressed me was over an hour and a half after the game. Jamie was outside Boston College's Yawkee Center for at least 30 minutes signing autographs for fans. Jamie's relatives close friends and big fans all waited for him as he signed, joked and laughed with the fans who were very appreciative.
Boston College is having their best season in over 60 years. It is great to see senior leaders like Jamie Silva, Matt Ryan and L.V Whitworth being so approachable and generous to the loyal fans.
