The Evil Empire returned Saturday morning, when the New York Yankees reportedly agreed to acquire 2017 National League MVP Giancarlo Stanton from the Miami Marlins.

Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports first reported the blockbuster. According to the New York Post's Joel Sherman, the Yankees will send second baseman Starlin Castro and non-elite prospects to the Marlins for the superstar right fielder.

The Bronx Bombers belted an MLB-best 241 home runs in 2017. Just for fun, they added someone who led the majors with 59 long balls.

In light of the news, shortstop Didi Gregorius realized his cleanup designation was likely in jeopardy.

Other Twitter users noted the amazing assortment of power in New York's lineup.

Everyone is already wondering if they will be able to tell Stanton and Judge apart with both wearing Yankees pinstripes.

Perhaps the Yanks are baseball's superteam.

Instead of trembling in fear, Toronto Blue Jays ace Marcus Stroman welcomed the challenge.

Others thought it was fishy the Yankees got an elite player from the Marlins and new owner Derek Jeter.
