Kansas City Chiefs: "Hail To The Chiefs"

Joe JonesCorrespondent IOctober 30, 2016

The Kansas City Chiefs finally win a game they suppose to win. Yes, The Chiefs was suppose to will this game against the Washington Redskins, and why? Its simple, the Chiefs were a better team.

For the past six weeks the Chiefs were in every game they played just to come up short in the end. It was just a matter of time before they learned how to close a game. Granted it was the Redskins, A team that is in turmoil itself. The game should not have been as close as it was cause the Chiefs were able to move the ball in the red zone, But came away with only field goals.

On the offensive side of the ball, Matt Cassel had to move out of the pocket more than he would have like. The Redskins Albert Hansworth was in his face all day. The Chiefs must tighten up the offensive line and give him more protection in order for him to be  effective.

Larry Johnson on the other hand started to show signs of the Larry of old. As i said time and time before, Once the Chiefs get the offensive line together as one unit Larry will be able to find more holes to run through. He shows no signs of slowing down yet, But only seem to get stronger as the game goes on.

The defense for the Chiefs play good enough for them to come out with a victory today. But it will not be good enough against a better team. The cornerbacks played better and the front line did get some pressure on the Redskins quarterbacks but they need to step it up a notch.

Again the special teams play won the game for the Chiefs. But how many times can they go to the well before scoring an offensive touchdown. The Chiefs need to come away with touchdowns in the red zone against better teams or they will be playing the catch up game all over again.

All in all the Chiefs can go back to Arrowhead as winners. Its been a long time since they been able to build on something positive and now they know what its like to win again. Lets see if they can carry it over to the San Diego next week. As for now "Hail to the Chiefs"
