Hamilton Tigercats, Winnipeg Blue Bombers, CFL, Game Recap

With starting QB Kevin Glenn resting at home in Winnipeg, Ryan Dinwiddie got his second career CFL start for the Bombers.  In the start, Dinwiddie connected with Aaron Fairooz for the only major for the Bombers on the day.

Third string QB Bryan Randall replaced Dinwiddie halfway through the third quarter and was then replaced by Cleveland McCoy with only 6:16 left in the game.

Winnipeg K Troy Westwood had a rough day, going 0-for-1, missing wide right from 42 yards out.  He had two punts of 44 and 51 yards.

The game seemed to change when Fred Reid fumbled the ball at the goal line after orchestrating a 56-yard for the Bombers.  However, the Bombers managed to go up 8-6 at the half and couldn't come up with any more offense after Dinwiddie was replaced.

Hamilton got offense from third string QB Timmy Chang.  Chang engineered a 75-yard drive and Tre Smith ended the play off with a touchdown from five yards out.

All in all, seven quarterbacks got action in tonight's game.

Winnipeg's last preseason game is a home game against the Montreal Alouettes on June 19th.
