White Sox Sign Omar Vizquel

Chicago- Free agent shortstop Omar Vizquel ,42, has signed a one-year $1,375,000 contract with the Chicago White Sox.

Vizquel will be entering his 21st season in the MLB. He has won 11 Gold Gloves at short stop in 20 seasons in the MLB.

Omar has a .273 career batting avrage, 78 career homeruns, and 908 career runs batted in, in 9,922 career at bats. 

Vizquel will probaby back up infielders Mark Teahan at third base, Gordon Beckham at short shop, and Alexi Ramirez at second base.
