Pardon me if I'm stating the obvious and I certainly don't need to insult the intelligence of the Steeler Nation.  However, I've been enlightening people at work about the Steeler's playoff opportunities and I've found that the Steelers can actually control their own destiny by the end of this weekend.  I guess there has never been a better time to "root, root, root for the home team."  If all the home teams win Pittsburgh is in great shape to secure a playoff berth.  Actually if Miami beats Houston, New England beats Jacksonville, Philadelphia beats Denver, Indianapolis beats the Jets, and of course the Steelers win, they would head into week 17 needing only to beat Miami to secure a playoff berth.  Baltimore would still hold the tie-breaker against the Steelers but the Steelers would get in ahead of Denver with a win since they beat them head to head.  Here is wishing for a home sweep from Santa Clause this week and wish everyone here a Merry Christmas!!
