Some of the schools in the non-BCS conferences are wanting to have more respect. Whether it's giving them the shot at the title, or wanting a playoff system to allow them to prove themselves. My opinion; move them into BCS conferences.
The Pacific Athletic Conference is probably the most balanced conference, and my opinion on who should be switched out, and who should be switched in, will make it even MORE balanced. This will give it a lot more strength when it comes to bowl season and out of conference play.
A Better Conference:
By switching out Washington State and Stanford, with Boise State and Utah, the PAC-10 would be a much stronger conference. Boise State has already proven it can win games, (mostly because of the coaching staff, not the players) and against the PAC(Oregon the last two years). So if you were to put them in the PAC, the recruiting would be much better, along with a great coaching staff. Boise State beat the PAC-10 Champ this year, so put them in there. Utah is the same way. They did beat California pretty bad in a bowl game this season, and won the Sugar Bowl over Bama in 2008. Put them in there they too will become a better team.
I know Jim Harbaugh and Stanford did pretty good this season, but how will they do in the future if they don't have Toby Gerhart carrying the team? A stronger opponent then the Cardinal is this years Fiesta Bowl Champions, Boise State. Putting Stanford in the WAC isn't a bad idea. They would be a good contender every season, and it wouldn't be one team winning every year easily, as Boise State has been doing.
And Washington State is a no-brainer. They don't deserve to be in the PAC, and I think they would do horrible in the MWC as well, though they might have about 1-2 more wins per season.
A much stronger PAC-10.
