Do You Swear To Tell The Truth, The Whole Truth & Nothing But The Truth?

Leon BrimmContributor IJanuary 12, 2010

"My lawyers have advised me that I cannot answer these questions without jeopardizing my friends, my family and myself," McGwire said.

Liar, liar pants on fire. That is what the kids would say to you in the park if you told a lie. But in today’s world we let you get on TV and cry, and ask for forgiveness.

How about you do me a favor, and pay back the money to all the fans that you ripped off during your career. Me being one of them.

I would sit in front of the TV or Radio everyday in 1998 to listen, or see the Great Mark McGwire break a record that seemed almost insurmountable.

History teaches us that Roger Maris went through hell when he broke the single season homerun record held by Babe Ruth. Roger Maris broke the record, and he did it without steroids. However, an asterisk was put beside his name for years due to the fact that he played more games than Ruth did.

McGwire wishes now that he never played in the steroids era. Well Boo-hoo Mark! McGwire help to start the steroids era in baseball.

Maybe instead of crying on tv and telling people how sorry you, maybe you can take credit for helping start a problem that almost sunk Baseball as did the 1919 Black Sox scandal.

We all know why you want to cry and say you are sorry. It is all for selfish reasons, just as it was selfish to take steroids, cheat Baseball and earn a ton of money at the expense of families and kids who save money to watch the greatest game ever played.

Shame on you Mark! No shame on me, I bought it, I thought in the 90's they were legitimate; I was the fool, the sucker, the moron. When I was very young my favorite player was Dale Murphy, and I guess I put all players on the same moral level as Murphy.

Boy was I suckered. At least you are not alone Mark!
