After a disappointing first round playoff loss to the New York Jets, the last thing the Cincinnati Bengals needed was what happened to rookie linebacker Rey Maualuga early this week.

Maualuga was pulled over for drunk driving in in Kentucky, and now faces eight days in jail, a fine, and a suspended drivers license.

Now, what about this scenario surprises you?

One after another, the Bengals seem to have problems controlling their players. I mean you would think that after the horrible luck that the Bengals have had in the past that they would carefully evaluate the personality and character of each player before drafted.

I guess not. I guess they missed it on Maualuga. Maybe I'm wrong, and I hope I am, but a DUI is just the beginning for this kid. I just have a feeling more criminal charges are in this young mans future.
